These are the volunteers who took holiday from their full-time jobs to put the event on and worked tirelessly from before dawn until after the last person left the venue.

They are the unsung heroes who dont usually get the credit that they deserve - thanks for a great event.

Thanks to Maritime for a great week-end.

It was a well run & fun event, exactly what Rc racing is about.

The 6 of us in the camper van got in to Dublin some time after 1am this morning. It was a long week-end started at 4am on Friday. But some we would definitely do again.

Special memory for me is from the 4wd. One of us managed to break two suspension arms, in one of the rounds.

How?

First one (rear arm) was broken during the warm-up. So the car & driver arrived back to the table. Heard over the PA that the track was closed for track repairs. So got to work replacing the arm. Got him out on the track with only a minute gone in the race. He got from the wood section to the table top, where he broke the front arm on the landing.

Not going to name names as there are far to many, as always it was great to meet-up with everyone. Will see some of you again at the Euros this years.
(Possibly as well as some other events in the UK.)

MiCk B. :-)

Hi guys!
Back to France, i really would like to thanks the Maritime staff for their great job and their facilities. I would like also to thanks Nicolas Petit for his hug effort to organize us such a big event.

I was pleased to be among all these great UK drivers...men you're too good on your field! It was really fun and i was also surprised by the great fair play.

And thanks to Ellis for setting up my car.

Jimmy, congratulations for your fast report and for your pics. As i told you, you're my Professor...

Here are my saturday pics. http://drspeed.canalblog.com/archive.../16577834.html

By the way, check out here the "fact" of the 3rd leg!

Neumann is taking the lead with a good start...but behind, Lowe is on fire over Lee (n°2) ...

Lowe (n°3) is on the inside of the corner...

Lowe is on the very inside of the corner! Lee doesn't agree!

Truman (n°4) the former winner is very closed...

oops, Lowe brings Lee far away...good for Truman

Lowe rolled, Shin and Moss are on the way!

Damned, Lowe and Martin on the roof! which made it easier for neumann who won this leg and the overall result! It's a shame because Lee was really pushing hard, and even finished second of this leg!
These photos are spot on what I saw!!! Lowe went for it and messed it up for Lee! I know that's racing, but I really wanted to see Lee have a chance.

Steady on DC, it's not as one sided as you're making out.

I was expecting a bit more room on the apex when I got there, and with the line I had to take to try and avoid a collision I had to run wide on the exit. I could either do what I did and let it slow down hoping for space on the exit, or brake a bit and put the car sideways (one-way) and take up even more width - assuring contact.

I was ahead and on the inside in pictures 3, 4 and 5. It just got a bit clumsy when we both got on the power at the exit.

Fair play Rich, but Lee had a chance to win the event, you didn't. Your move on him cost him a chance to win the event. You saw a gap and went for it, good try, but you both lost out, Lee more than you. He lost the chance of winning the meeting and you lost the chance of winning the 3rd leg.
I appreciate racing is racing, but we all would be appreciated when we acknowleded we pushed too far.

Hi guys, sorry for this episode. The aim of my pics was not to deal with any fight.
Rich, you were incredibly fast! And i have no opinion about this race incident...everything was so fast, it's always easier on replay!
David, you're awesome as a speaker...i wish you could speak french and come to add you flow in our "quiet" races!!!

Agreed Rich, ikey ji, your photos are spot on!!! I have no arguement with anyone. I just would have liked to see Lee challenge for the win. But it was not to be, but hey that's racing!!!

Pictures paint a thousand words.... must say they are good pictures to catch the first corner mayhem.

Got to say.... looking at those pictures, Rich has the inside line and Lee has been beaten. Shouldn't matter who has a chance to win as there are 10 drivers in that final and they are all after that number 1 spot. Looks like a good move, and sadly it did give Jorn an advantage....

Well done to all.... Some good suprises in the finals. Was good waiting for the results to come through.

I only mentioned the Lowe move on Lee as it was right in front of me. I didn't see Ellis' move on Lee.
But like I said this is racing, things happen, on to the next race
