I always use the same lube on my gears in the gearbox that i use in the diff...( schumacher). This has defeneatly reduced wear on the gears. In theory, it reduces friction and temp. This again reduces wear.
I do this in my 2wd and 4wd, and recomend it.
Its been a sucsess for me

I always use kyosho's white gear grease.. but only enough to lube the gears, just enough to cover them... too much and it will contaminate the diff... i used to use a good quality teflon grease but find kyoshos stuff much better!! keeps temp down and lengthens the life of the gears!

Neil,

Colin Qual 3rd i think... was looking very quick and easily on the pace.. looking good for the 1st worksop outing with the car, loads to try still ay Col He made a good start and got up to second and started to catch bradders then his car stopped... center rear shaft had popped out.. we know the cause He qual 2nd i think with X6.. and finished 2nd having a good battle with Craig running the Fabs MCS..

I qual B6 in 4wd and finished 2nd... so happy with that.. qual C1 in 2wd and won... should have been in the B final but made a couple of stupid errors that cost me.

Not sure on other K drivers, im sure they will be along to tell all... i helped a few on set up issues during the day so know there were quite a few running!

Cheers
Nick

I had a bad day was more about gettting feel of the new Big Bores fantastic
But someone decided to hit me full chat on the straight coming wrong way game over cracked chassis so it was end of play after Q3

Andy Greg new to 2wd had good day thanks to Nick again he was rather please with the car just need to sort his driving out.

Colin Reid also new to 2wd enjoyed his self both went home with smile on there faces i believe.

The only down fall they both has was being in the bottom Q constantly being taken out so they wasnt gaining any time at all.

Hopefully they will be in little higher heat next time

Colin M's & Nic's car's both looked very good wish i had the skills like these two

Built the car with the new saddlepack retainer.
Car feels good on the bench, and seems very promesing

Very nice!

How much space is there between the rear lipo and the side of the chassis?

Thanks!

Rear lipo to chassie is 34 mm,-rear lipobrace to chassie 30mm.
This means if you build esc up a couple of mm to get over lipobrace, you have 34mm of space to fit it. My orion esc fits, but current setup is with esc in the senterline of the car

cheers

Looking good... I'd even not had a chance to see the car with the new parts on, as I've not been home since receiving them!

If I may, it looks like you've got the original RB5 front springs on, you might find yourself with a handful of a car, they're very very soft. I mostly run the stiffest lime green springs on the front, unless the grip is very low.

Its AE silver mounted up front.
I use AE springs up front, will start with silver. Need to try it, but may mount on AE blue ones.
I agree that kyo silver up front is too soft.
I`m kind of short on kyosho springs.......

In the rear i have kyosho blue and silver, started with the blue ones.
AE rear springs "rub" against the shockbody, so i think i will use kyosho here.
I see that "cobalt" may be the way to go in the rear.
Think i need to order some kyosho springs...

I ran in the second manche of the LWT today (indoor Astro-track at Charleroi, Belgium.)
Nathan Ralls paid us a visit and came over to participate from the UK. (*)

At one point I asked him to test my setup on my MCS and he used some very positive words.
One of the following days, I will post this setup for the BCA.
Usually, as being a debutant, I always end up in the D- or last finale. This time I was able to improved the car.
I Q'ed on about 26-ish place wich eventuelly led me to be Q"ed in 3th spot in the C-final.
First F: 3th, second F: 1th.
I really saw and "tasted" some improvement

(*) unfortunatly, his day turned out in pain. He made a bad step when marshaling and had his foot severly injured (broken of ripped a tendon?)
He was unable to stand on his foot and had to pack and begin the trip back to the UK. Fortunatly, his girlfriend Viera came along to the continent, so she could drive back.
I hope it isn't something seriously bad :'(

Hi guys
Just got home from my first training session with my MCS...Car was very fast and stable /easy to driver. Also a very good jumper as its jumps very straight
Had a tad to little offpower steering to start with, but a quick change of rear spring fixed that.

Used setup from craig collinson at RHR as a base setup, just changed oil to
F:35wt, R:30wt and 3B pisons all around.
Also used AE silver springs up front, and ended on AE blue in the rear...this was quite an unusual spring combination, but the blue springs in the rear gave the car more offpower steering, and made it more presice.
Its worth mentioning that here in norway we race indoor in the winter season on carpet, and its only allowed with tyres with spikes cut off. We therefor use traction compound.

Ran 8-10 packs today and nothing broke, loosend or anything like that.
Car seems quick, strong and easy to drive. Looking forward to next meeting
Strongly recomend this car
