I have three packs of 5.1 saddles for my SC10 4x4, one 5.3 stick pack and one 6.0 soft cell, all perform great and I regularly hit the Lipo cutoff with some recharging to much more than the stated amount.
I always try to balance charge as I lost one cheap lipo when it was borrowed, run to cut off, not immediately recharged and not balanced. It popped open the hard case so I chopped off the wires and disposed off it.
Of course you can, thats what happens in the cars when used. with a correc lipo charger, they have a discharge for storage section nnormally.

I understand that when put on storage charge the charger will discharge or recharge them to attain the storage voltage but do the chargers, when put on discharge setting, make sure that they don't go below 3volts per cell? I only ever discharge my battery's in my car/truck/buggy.

It's quicker as well! I've never understood why chargers discharge so slowly when the batteries are designed to discharge through the car as quickly as the ESC and motor demands.

look at your charger, think its 3.7v per cell but dont quote me. they are designed for exactly that!!!!!

So I cycled my batteries 3 more times over the weekend. They lasted progressively longer, but still do not last as long as my pro amps. It's all good, for the money it is pretty good value I should think.
