Nah its a nice fit, id say it would have .01 to .02mm of play, no need for a collar.

Though I have thought about drilling the spur shaft hole and fitting a bearing in it (like the ZX-5 and Tamiya ball type diff gear) because I have noticed that spurs do spin on the shaft (unlubricated) when the slipper does slip.

Anyway hope this info helps.
