Counter rotating shafts would be easy to acheive. Simply have the 'shaft' drive gears meshing with the bevel 'spur' gear. That gets rid of one bevel gear in the center gear box.

Then all you need to do is reverse one of the diffs, front or rear, i.e. flip it over. Thus you have a diff slightly offset on either side of the car.

This would give you the counter rotating effect on the chassis.

Personally I think the DB02 looks like a Dogs Breakfast. The DB01 I'm suspecting would have a lower rotating mass. A step backwards in my opinion

Why not just use the same engine mount and Spur gear set up as the 502?
