Thinking about a 2wd to start, then 4wd to continue.
will have a look at the various ones you guys race soon and make a decision then...
That is exactly what I thought, (21 years out the hobby for myself) it was very different then, main difference for me was the track surfaces, Lipos and Brushless motors (astro takes some getting used too, still cannot get over having too much grip all the time)....... it is quite a shock trying to get around the track after two decades, and not be worrying about batteries lasting 5 minutes prior to dumping.... (that certainly was my experience), just started to get the confidence to cut in for the racing line rather than driving the centre, but still slower on everything...

At Torch the fast guys are in the 27 seconds / lap, my first meeting i was in the 35 seconds best lap, now in the 31's after my 4th meeting...

CAT SX3 cf, Cougar SV cf, and soon to be DEX210, all with SP esc, SP motors, and Team ORION lipo's

However I always historically found carpet racing indoors somewhat easier, before.... (god only knows if i would say the same now!)

I would stick with the CAT for old times sake
