Just putting my 2p in.

I actually like the challenge of the different types of astro but as with everyone else don't like sand. Must admit from an aesthetics point, looking the same all over is nice.

Something with decent we weather grip would be nice too.

I think what bury have, is similar to what we have at Ware with a thick pile and it is great for consistant high grip, even in the wet, but i think without sand its maybe "too high grip"

Stotfold has also been my favourite because you rarely get grip roll, but i guess thats what makes it slick in the wet/greasy conditions

Another vote for Broxtowe from me. It drains AMAZINGLY quickly, is not very sandy and it's got predictable grip (well every time i've raced on it it has)

I like a short pile astro which is worn to drive on. i find it just lets the car have a little more give(less grip) than fresh new stuff. Not a lover of the type that seems to make the car want to grip roll everywhere

Consistent astro is my favorite, so no sand is better in my opinion. I think as it ages it gets slimy when it rains, so the more consistent it stays the better I like it!

Your spot on there mate at the moment the grip is to much but it's brand new and will settle down in the next couple of years.

Biased... its A1 racing Club...

i designed the track so its an obvious vote! made of different age and pile Astro which makes you concentrate to get consistent laps and when a technical track is laid it is very rewarding... its still a new track so grip is getting better as sand is brought up and removed.

Unbiased... Broxtowe... its a fine almost carpet surface and gives very good grip levels, very high grip when damp to drying and easy on tyres

Default Astro

+1 does look nice, from a distance. Still think that we have too many astroturf tracks and would be nice to run on different surfaces from time to time - I know that coventry run astro and grass and that is kind of good from time to time especially if we get the right track for the right weather

Ledbury's astro track is great, grip hardly seems to change between soaking wet and sun baked!

Kidderminster is still my fav track in the country though, prefer it to pure astro tracks.
