I did hear not long ago, that Air-Jordan had found G's jumping pictures and decided to improve his own as he was ashamed at how poor they look in comparison to the G-man..

Are we now going to see "jumping G" on other pictures as per Peter Crouch?

On a more boring note, sorry, I see elsewhere that the people in caravans who paid at the weekend funded the band!? I hope you all enjoyed it and I am glad I certainly got my money's worth!

Also interested to note that someone has said they were told free food for payers etc but this has been denied by Os rep as not so, good job the "spooners" went to our natural home.... WETHERSPOONS!!

I'll stop being boring now

NIGHT NIGHT!

Hi, I can comfirm that the carvans didnt pay for the weekend at all!, The cost was there from Oswestry show ground committe cause they charge for carvans to stay, not us.. (i.e. its used most time of carvan site) I hope that clears few things up.

Nick

Quote from Neil Oliver on another forum:

"Thanks for the feedback so far. Regarding the hog roast, yes we were let down on the day and the guy who had been serving food all day stepped in to do the evening. We are sorry it was not as advertised. If anyone had said the caravans were free under any condition then that was wrong. We tried to offset the cost of the band versus what we took from caravans, in the end we made a loss on that part - but hey, you cant have everything!"

I don't mind paying at all as long as everyone else does, caravans and tents. None of the tents paid some of the caravans paid.

It is not the money just the principle

How much was the band!?!?

At £10 per van (2 nights) that's a lot for the band! Maybe we paid for the singers pies!

why the issue now its the same at tiverton and southport caravans pay tents dont nothing was said then and dont seem to remember any evening entertaiment at those 2 venues?, and as nick said it was'nt the club who made the charge but the show-ground. i think £10 for a weekend away is fair

Well said Chris if you dont want to pay just get your self a tent
For a club holding there first national I think they did a very good job and have taken alot of sh*t.

At Tiverton, tents and caravans paid as we were in a tent this year and the farmer collects the money, can't remember if I paid at Southport.

It would help if any surcharges were mentioned in the info pack provided by each club when you get confirmation of entry to the Nationals.

Again, not the cost just the principle, not every caravan paid at OSW.

I pettry sure they said there will be charges in info pack for oswestry, i know not everyone paid last year at tivvy national, from what the farmer told me.. and this has prob carryed on to other nationals, im not blaming any other clubs tho! Its just like not everyone can be perfect, i know from oswestry national there were alot tired people from the club! and any volouteers, thanks. And i know this was not our most important thing to be thinking about the whole weekend, so i think were more nit picking more than anything, But i do understand your point very much

I know the club would like any ideas from people on track etc, and on weather we should put in for another national

Nick.

(i hope this has cleared things up abit, its just when you know how much hard work hardly many members have put in for the national, were like nit picking and when it has happened before, and you didnt get any enertianment, I don't mean this to pointed at anyone, or for them to take it the wrong way.. again hope this clears things up)

I definetley think you should put in for a National next year, although the track was all grass, the way it wore out meant for exiting racing and driving. The rostrum was a little low but those of us with a little lateral thinking stood on boxes to gain height.

The Nationals should represent all different types of track and yours was different compared to the more manufactured tracks, maybe a few smaller jumps could be added but by and large it was good.

Entertainment was an extra which we enjoyed, shame you were let down on the food side and we were mis-informed as to the nature of cost.

The venue and track are good, shame it was so hot or else we would not have had so many problems with heat related car issues.
