Some don't.
We had a weigh in at the club one saturday and it seems if you don't compensate for the lipo you end up under weight.

TBH most of the added weight is a tuning/handling aid, rather than for solely getting over minimum weight...

My B4 seemed to go much better when I got it over the 4wd weight limit

From my side...with the B4 photos at this Worldchampionship, ...I only see a "classic weight balance" :
For Neil car:
- 18gr on the rear bulkhead ( additional weight included on the B4.1 kit )
- 5gr on each rear corner
-14gr on Servo & 7 on front

...for the Ryans
Maifield : same as Neil's "rear end" ( total 28gr ), 7g on each front corner ( close the servo ).
Cavaleri : same as Neil's "rear end" and no more additional weight.

For the batteries, each use reedy batteries ( #628 ) = 307g

But I wasn't under the Lipo to verify...and with the "BIG" jumps...a light car is better.

I'm not sure that one day we will get the B4.1's setups on internet.

PS: We can also talk about the springs that Cav' was using on rear and Neil fronts "curious yellow w/o paint" springs...it could be another thread K springs ?

Any Idea of additional weights (if any) on Cav's and Mayfield's lengthened rides, or even Naoto's SWB? No offense to N. Cragg (and I was sorry not to see him defend his TQ ), but these three int'l ones are the ones I'm interested in, really... The UK drivers I would certainly expect to add a a lot of weight as this is their default configuration as I've clearly understood. I'd like to know whether the non-UK topguns can run (and win! ) with cars that are "underweight" by UK standards...

Richard, can you feed us in maybe?

Thanks
Paul
UK drivers usually run heavy cars because they run on astro. It does not mean that they have that much weight when they run on dirt.

All the top drivers use weight as a TUNING aid.
It could be to allow the car to release or hold in a corner or even pivot.
It could be to settle it down or make it more lively.

The top drivers in the UK represented ALL had a variation of weights with them.
The worlds track by the look of it didn't require a huge amount of weight.
UK tracks do require weight more often than not.

Remember its a TUNING aid hence so many weight variations.
You cannot take a set up from the worlds track and think it's going to work on a UK astro track
