Heeft hier iemand een idee welk vet ik het best kan gebruiken voor het diff en de diff balletjes van de Cougar?
Asso difflube? Durango Difflube? of eventueel een vet van SKF (algemeen lagervet) http://www.mapro.skf.com/products/lub_lgmt2.htm Grtz

Het vet in een kogeldiff dient om de boel soepel te laten lopen maar belet tegelijkertijd dat de diffplaatjes kunnen doorslippen op de balletjes (onder hoge druk smeert het dus slecht). De meeste ball diff vetten van RC fabrikanten zijn OK. Asso Stealth lube is goed. Persoonlijk gebruik ik ball diff grease van Tamiya, al was het maar omdat de tube met aanbrengtip handig is. |

Geen of toch zeker niet teveel gewoon vet aan uw tandwielen doen, normaal geraakt dat door de middelpuntvliedende kracht nooit tot in uw ballekes (hihi) Maar in sommige gevallen kan dat wel gebeuren, gaat uw diff vet mengelen met gewoon vet gaat uw diff doorslippen.

Ball diff grease from schum ( the grease in the plastic bag )is great .So i have ordeerd some in small can ,but it's not the same quality . i have try it and impossible to have a diff that doesn't slip grrrr .
So i go back to associated who is top quality.( tamiya is also very good). One tips before rebuild your diff is to lightly go with "sand-paper" on the diff ring . (from left to right and up to down ,not concentric) this helped the diff ball to roll instead of slice .So you can use your diff longer between rebuild . "Difference " is greater than expected. i now go back to build my sx3 ![]() |

yes ,diff grease from cougar kit is good quality . Packaging is strange ( plastic bag lol) but don't worry quality is there .

First(short) test run today for the sx3 at the black country.
All what i can say it's ......i'm happy . The car drive great , great speed in fast corner , jump with ease and smoothly ,withsome basic set up car (with a average driver ....me lol) was fast . i'm sure with some tune up sx3 is way faster than my previous durango. |

ik heb sinds een paar maanden ook een schumacher maar had problemen met de diff. Maar nu me is uitgelegt laatst in vlijmen hoe je zo'n ding in elkaar moet zetten rijd het als een dolle ![]() ![]() Groetjes Roy

mijn setup van vlijmen voor de cougar :
- voorarme omgedraaid - saddlepack chassis "kort chassis" (geen goesting om men andere cougar aftebreken ging zo al muug goed ![]() - b4 inliner steering knuckles. - soft topdeck - diff high rear schocks: oil: 30 spring 2.0 lange balcup. piston:4 front shocks: oil: 25 spring 3.5 piston 2 - geen rolbaar. 3grade blok en 1 grade blok aan de wielen. - shocks vanachter geplaatst. gaten in achtershocktower: binnenste armpke binnen voorste schoktower: middelste. hoop dat dit je verderhelpt. vond dat de wagen zeer goed lag met deze afstelling. het lange chassis zou nog wel iets beter zijn. maar de saddlepack was echt een enorm verschil. grtz

hello .for Vlijmen ( of bergenshoek)
Long chassis with short wheelbase . Saddle config - rear shocks monted on the rear . dremeled rear battery fitting ( the parts who is fixed to the gearbox) Rear 40 oil, 5 holes piston, 2.5 spring ( inner extra hole on tower / inner extra hole on arms) front 35 oil 4 holes piston ,3.5 spring (long spring from rear ) Rear camber link outside on hub. 20 gr on rear of servo. (next time we gonna try weight under the rear meaby 80 gr -under the chassis ) motor 8.5 V3 geared 76x25 but 9.5 is better for sure (10.5 must also be good) used front tyre and rear caliber with MrO insert ( way better than original .more soft) Speedo programmed really soft ( power on 2 on a range of 10) |

ik denk dat ik hiermee aardig uit de voeten kan. Saddle packs heb ik nog niet en denk dat ik het eerst eens probeer met een kort chassis. Ik heb hem overgekocht dus ben even aan het kijken wat er wel en niet opzit. Ik heb voor med shocks opzitten en achter long in ieder geval. Verder moet ik wat springs gaan bestellen en pistons dan kan ik gaan uitproberen. Tnx

Het nieuwe kapje is al gespoten door mijne maat Nils... Zijn 2de body dat hem gespoten heeft, moet zeggen dit ziet er al zeer vet uit!!! Momenteel is hij nog bezig aan de undertray... Ik ga dadelijk maar verder bouwen aan die cougar

here are the set up from nico's cat sx3 and cougar .
SX3 Camber link as original front 35 oil - 4 holes pistons - 4.0 spring - middle on tower rear 30 oil - 4 holes pistons - 2.5 spring - middle on tower MOST IMPORTANT THING front sway bar ( medium ) car was impossible to run safely without it . too easy to roll over. ride height 20 mm motor Speed passion V3 6.5 24pignon on original spuur. Speedo old LRP sphere comp power 5 on 8 grade battery Tecracerc tecPower 5200 50C Not yet FAB system but i think it's a must have Tyre rear yellow mini spike ( no row cut ) front used yellow mini spike( 2 outside row cut ,one inside ) if new front tyre i cut half of 3 th ouside row to loose some more front grip. ( front + rear mini pin is probably faster but more difficult ) Dammage on the car during week-end one middle belt during training ( new renforced belt must be used soon) front and rear shocktower changed before finals for safety ( the both have some marking on the fixing screw area. one front spring retainer lost in a big crash at first minutes of final 1 but nico drive it to the end without to noticied that. lol. ( fastest sx3 on the track after tom Cockrill. final result 14) Cougar sv Long chassis ,long wheelbase ( Cockrill drove the original short chassis ) 40gr under the front and 20 rear of servo camber link ,middle hole on the rear hub rear sway-bar to help keep rear flat ( black one optional the hardest ) Rear shock at the back ( all other cougar drove with rear shock in front of the rear arms) Middle hole on front and rear towers front 35 oil - 4 hole piston - 5.0 spring rear 40 oil - 5 hole piston - 2.5 spring motor speed passion V3 8.5 geared 76x24 Speedo LRP sxx stock spec power on 6 on 10 scale torque on 6 of 10 Battery Tecracerc TecPower 5200 50c tyre front handmade cut stagg rear yellow mini spike Dammage on the car Nothing .......transmission works great ,not rebuiled sinds previous ORRA race ( fastest cougar on track except tom Cockrill again lol - final result 13 ) |
