I saw Jonathon using it for the first time at our latest Mid West Regional at Coventry and it did look a hell of a lot better than it did before.

It looked far more driveable with more weight over the rear wheels and although it is shorter than the original 22 it looked more stable.

I think a friend of mine had a brief go with it on the day and he said it felt really good.

Its certainly got me and my CR2 a wee bit nervous! lol

Jon!

Like it very much, especially the new weight distribution (more on rear end).

Think I'm going to keep me 22 !

When ?

It had plenty of low speed cornering on old staggers and high speed with no weight on the front. The only weight in the car i ran was a rudebits under lipo one.

Thats the not so good bit, at the moment all the parts are coming out at around £140 this is mainly due to the moulded carbon fibre chassis with the kickup moulded in, as you can see hopefully in the photo below, also there are a lot of parts with all the layers of sidepods a total of 10, 5 each side which you can add and remove to alter flex. As well as battery posts and the lipo strap etc.

Re the weight the only weight added is a 110gram 2mm thick brass weight under the lipos, no rear losi brass weight kit or other weights added to the car.

That's not to bad Jonathan is there any chance of the two screw holes either side of the hinge pin brace from the original chassi to be put in during manufacture for the brass weight kit that is sold on here cheers.

Thats already been incorparated into a updated version of the chassis, so you can fit the slinga weight that fits between the motor and gearbox

Currently its 10mm shorter than the kit chassis. The kit shell does not reach the rear shock tower even with it being shorter.

The approx price above does not include for a shell or for the link between the gearbox and lipo strap.

OK thats cool, are the side pods the same size as stock or have they been moved back too ?

The reason I ask is cos I'm making a mould for a new shell for the 22 and it might as well fit this chassis too

Sidepods are shaped to replicate the stock sidepods, the chassis is reduced in length from the rear off the car, so the front 3/4 of the car is the same as a stock car.

Only difference is that the sidepods need to be raised so they are just above the bottom of the windows on the kit shell.

The kit shell sits to high as the lipos are now under the sidepods, the outline
of the chassis is the same as the kit shell.
