Not many people become a legend in their own lifetime, and yet retain the humility and touch to communicate with everyone they meet. Most everything else everyone has already said - pioneer, gentleman, honorable, knowledgable, open, honest.
When I took over from Mike as IFMAR Electric Chairman, I asked in my first closing speech for people to show their appreciation for his years of service to IFMAR. Mike got a five-minute standing ovation - that was how highly people regarded him. He did more to help me than I ever managed to repay, so like many others, today is a sad day for me too. Rest in peace, Mike.

when i started racing in the early 80's there were 4 people in rc i looked upto, and they were masami hirosaka phil davies nigel hale and mike reedy we have lost phil and mike but let's revel in what they gave us as racers, and people.
people say don't meet your hero's that's rubbish i met them all, and trust me it was well worth it they were, and in my eye's always will be gentlemen each one of them. r.i.p. mike.
