New photos of Paul's of Paul's completed SCX - 60CF now on our FaceBopok page. Like us to see the next ones first!

It went together very well, and we will order the aluminum parts on Monday AM. Production of the CF parts, which we will do in house, also starts this week. We are still trying to get this thing into the hobby stores in early December. It will be up on our store in a few days.

First race day will be Tuesday at DirtBurners'.

Nothing different in that regard is in the works now. The SCX - 60 has been running for over a year now with no significant problem of spur wear. Also no such problem in the X - 60, which has a body almost as open as a SC.

In all our mid-motor experience (We've had more years in mid-motor than all other current manufacturers combined, with thousands of cars and trucks sold world-wide.) we've never seen anything beside one or two very odd incidents of premature spur gear failure. No Team driver runs any sort of cover.

After 5 years of making mid-motor cars, we would have a gear cover if there was any real need for one. It's just not necessary.

I had a friend make me an overtray out of two x-6 bodies. Works great. He basically cut two bodies in half and reglued them. Doesn't look the best but gets the job done.

Thought I'd repeat this here, from RCTech:

"Two new pix from K.C. up now on FB. http://www.facebook.com/pages/X-Fact...87542711292903

We will begin work today on the last parts for the pre-order Kits, and hope to ship them Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Saturday for certain. It's not that we must make parts we have not made before, just that we need more of some of them. So we know what to do, it's a matter of cranking them out.

The real job will be putting all the parts into a few bags for you guys so there is some chance you'll know what goes with what. That will be my job on Wednesday, and it will mark the beginning of setting the bagging sequence and beginning the final B.O.M."

Big interview with Paul and myself now on LiveRC.com. Many pix of the new SCX - 60CF, and we talk about the new short course truck.

Two of the new SCX - 60CFs contested the J Concepts Clash last weekend in Florida. Newest Team driver Mike Aliberti was there with his brand new SC truck and Team driver Kevin Lesac drove Paul's SCX - 60Cf with his own "Simple Green" body on it. Both drivers were wheeling their SCX - 60CF trucks for the very first time ever. Because of the rainy conditions, both drivers had just one practice session, then 2 qualifiers and the main on Sunday. Both made the A!!!
