so whats the harm in seeing if a few want to meet up on another day for a bash from that club? have i missed something? because I dont see the problem.

Captin we race on a sunday as you have already stated you work every other Sunday and the Sundays you aren't working you are busy.
So why do you want to go to goshen as we are a club that races sundays so where do you fit in so either make time to come and see us on a Sunday which is what we all have to do.
Then your first race will be free then £4 for every race meeting after that for non members these are called subs . That is what keeps the club going(plus rogers hard work and devotion) and we all have done our little bit to maintain it. We all have other things our wives would rather us be doing but we make sacrifices to attend this is what you need to do top and bottom if you can't then find another hobby

very nice welcome to this club it has to be said!

when did I ever say i would never join the club and pay my support?

if your going to welcome every member like this your club will be under threat again as the new comers will go elsewhere.

As I said, in theory I can be, but I'm 40 mins away and can't be gone for too long, unless I bring the little one with me!

I popped along to Goshen yesterday evening to have a little practise and although it was nice and sunny there was a lot of standing water on the track with 3 quite large and deep puddles. I decided not to get the car out, but may pop back this evening.

I have 3 young children so completely understand your situation!!! Best of luck.

As it stands, looks like it will be too wet this pm to do anything at the track.
