It's a tricky one, if you are behind someone through them being better rather than you having a crash then there is a lot to be learnt by following their lines so you can get better laptimes yourself (great for qualifying runs).
However, I did get criticised for this once as the driver thought I was putting too much pressure on him! The problem was that as I followed their lines I started to lap at the same speed, even had to back off on a couple of corners where my car handled the bumps better. |
