Kipor 1000KW comes highly recomended here.... been running mine all day for three of us, so a total of 5 chargers, 3sets of tyre warmers, soldering iron, laptop, tyre sander, the works... left it going all day on the smart throttle, and only used less than 3 litres of petrol (~1tank and a 1/4), with it running non-stop for about 9hours. For the ease of use over having to hall a heavy 12v, and remembering to charge it, gets my vote. Plus you can split the fuel cost between you

lol sorry chris (Mr english teacher sir)
sun had the better of me
yes a 1kva is more than enough to run multiple chargers etc
but wouldnt run a 1.5hp compressor you need to know max watts of motor i have a 2kva kipor at the mo and a 1500watt comp, under load it starts but its a struggle,

I have a 2200kv version of that style of generator, works fine but it's a lot louder and heavier than the Kipor ones.

You also have to remember you can get power spikes on these kind of genies compared to the inverter types.

chriss i run an older red 650 watt kippor and it runs far more than what you have written without breaking a sweat. i even put my portable tv on it when the gp is on. when i get a new genny it will defo be a kippor unless i have the readies for a honda as they are quieter and will still only be 1kva

Just picked up a second hand Kipor 2.6 KVA. I'm very impressed with the quality. I can't wait for Winter outdoors when we can hook up a 2KW heater. Meanwhile it'll keep the waffle machines chugging at Kampenhout.
