Titanium Racing TIR - Anyone know them ?

Titanium is hard, but that is different from 'wear resistant', it would still need to have a coating on it.

The only problems I've had with their products has been the odd pinion, both steel and titanium, and that's been the grub screw, which you could say was down to machining. I'm fine accepting the fact that you will get faults from time to time, it just happens, but I've never stripped the teeth of a pinion before, but all my spurs have been plastic, so if anything has stripped, it's been the spur.

I bought a full set of their titanium pinions...

Most of them were eccentric, to the extent you could see by eye that the bore really wasn't in the middle , so they never got used. The few that ran round enough to use I had to re-tap the grub screw holes .

I didn't buy them direct so can't comment on their ordering / delivery.

Titanium racing were rip off merchants and still owed me an item that they still havent made. Lets hope that whoever bought them out doesnt employ the original staff as they were utter crap.

Never had a TIR part that fitted without needing attacked with a dremel first.
Plus their service was abysmal.
I know plenty of people who have had bother with them in the past too.
Wouldnt deal with them again.

If they've gone into administration, then you're buggered as far as getting anything from them, the Vatman and the Taxman come first, then other people.

We recently bought a powerchiar via the motability scheme, and the company went bust 6 months later, so we're still paying for it, but some of the items to go with the chair we bought and paid for, we'll never see again.

Some people / companies use it as a cynical route of avoiding debts while continuing in business, which I'm not impressed by at all.
