I think the new 2mm drive shafts that are coming out soon, have something that should stop the pin coming out.

You coud put a penny under the battery strap beneath the shaft or use the outer casing of a bearing

Yeah I'm gonna get some heatshrink, and put some over the cvd just the extra bit of safety now.

Thanks Rob.

I didn't take a picture of the main event, by the time i noticed it there a crowd around it and I didn't want to add injury to the wounds by taking a picture.

When it first went up, I'm sure the smoke could be seen from space!!!!

Regarding the car.....

All it did was melt through the battery strap. The CVD prop joint was WELL chard. But a quick clean up and a new drive pin from Mr waters, and I was on track for the next round. Oh, and some quick action from Wraggy.
I ended up doublesided taping my final Lipo in to the car and then holding it down with cell tape. It was solid and didn't move a millimetre.

As I said before. Any car with plastic or Carbon chassis would have been buggered, the heat was pretty high. I'm glad Durango built a car with an alloy chassis!!
