another option would be to say its been posted but wait 24 hours before you actually post it. if the money goes within that 24 hours dont post

Is 24hrs long enough though? If selling something of such high value, then I would consider waiting a week. I know you can't mention that in the sale text, but can get away with it.

Sorry to hear your loss on this JP, I can't understand that its always the most careful who get scammed. There must be loads who are much more unsuspecting and never get any issues.

What frustrates me with Ebay, its happened to me, I buy something which seems genuine (Calvin Kleins) from a UK seller etc (avoiding overseas sellers to ensure confidence that the items are genuine), then when they arrive the sender is China and the Calvins may as well be Calvin and the Chipmunks, I can get better from Ethel Austins for less. When I complained the answer is "I am genuinely in the UK but I ship directly from my supplier", but still managed to get refund and upon complaining to Ebay there account suspended....

Chris

I know owe paypal £1047 after reading paypalsucks let them come after me! I will loose out, but if I can get the police and paypal interested they should go after the guy that signed for the laptop at the address!!

Sorry about your trouble JP. I just spent three months getting £100 back off the post office because someone 'didnt receive' the cells i sent him... that might of been a scam, i will never know, but at least i am back in pocket at last.

One of the previous messages about answering buyer questions from ebay.. i always delete them and log into ebay and see if they are also there.. should be a bit safer.

As for the Van, Dom's blue one might get you there.. might need the train fare to get back though. dont forget the cement to line the room top box with one you have put this guy in it and chucked it off westminster bridge...

i'm chopping the car in soon for a van to do man with a van work..i'll take you down. I'll help..i'm just scrapping 6ft and played prop for donkeys so I can take it and dish it!!

I was going to change my paypal acc to accept payments but my mate gave me the link to that paypal sucks site...I only accept chq, postal order or cash and everything is sent at least recorded. No use to I know...Smash them to bits mate.

I've had some spoof ones before....Last few were where I had apparently won an item which I had never even bid on.

Paypal is trying to become a bank isnt it so I think they are going to have to clean up their act to become compliant

Just stuck a NEW Sony W800i on eBay this afternoon. Surprise surprise it sold within about an hour on the buy-it-now option. Unfortunately it's to some bloke in Birmingham that has NO feedback. Ask him to confirm the postage address, and thing have gone very quiet.

Dirty, dirty scammers!!!!!!
