The front hub, the register that the bearings but up to snapped around its diameter and pushed out locking the wheel up, before anyone says it, the wheel nuts werent over tightened, were loctited and were brand new bearings, luckily I had a spare.
One of the arms (bottom) off the servo saver disintegrated, which I didnt have spare
Also ball joints pinging off all over.
Just bought Tamiya cups and balls to replace them.
Will be making some titanium servo saver arms on CNC machine this week to try out if I get chance.

Please, let me know how the ti saver goes. You might want to machine a few extras for those that wish to purchase from you. Me, me, ME!

In the last month I have had exactly the same parts go on me. The lower part of the servo saver broke on the side which there does not seem to be much plastic left to reinforce the outside edge. I have attached pictures of the failure. I really feel I can drive better with the Durango than any of the other 10th cars I have owned.

At the moment you will have people crying out for them as TD do not have any in stock. Also alloy cnc front spindles would be very nice too!

Chris,

I thought you were doing very well with the bj4 before you 'gave up for good' . I do think you made a gud choice of car for current technology, even tho i think otherwise, you should do quite well 'again' with this one.

You comming down to seaham ????

since getting the car most people have started selling there durango's because of snapped drive pins and a few other problems.

now the question i have is have these problems been experienced by everyone or just a few, and is it a build problem or a manufacturing problem?

now if it's a manufacturing problem are durango going to do anything about it i.e. replace any fualty parts in kits already sold?

are there any tips on stopping these problems happening?

thanks.

I have to say that I think the durango is a solid car and i had this confirmed yesterday at Worksop when a cat hit it head on at full speed over the four small jumps and all that happened to mine was a popped ball joint!.

The cat however came of a lot worse, the front end of if just disintegrated. It snapped a shock shaft, the shock mount snapped in half and the wishbone and wheel went flying towards race control as did the rest of the car!.

Ah, that was your race was it? lol

That had to be one of the most destructive crashes I've seen for ages!!
There were bits everywhere.

It looked just like an F1 crash!
