Chris - i was going to say Lee Mack, absolute legend and his TV programme is actually quite good.
What about Omid Djalili? Anyone seen his standup? Really funny guy (http://www.omidnoagenda.com/) Also Russell Brand was very funny as a stand up - surprised me to be honest!
