This is why i have post regarding new axels. Surely Durango care if its a design mistake. I think we should all be given the new ones for free.
I dont think that there is an advantage to be had with the cars front end but a rule is a rule. Did anybody get refused for scrutineering at last weeks event with a Durango? |

Ok.
The second batch of kits onwards have shorter CVD axles on the front. All these have are shorter threaded ends than the 'old' versions Stack up of tolerances on the components can make some cars tight, so dremelling of the end has been necessary to some cars. I ran mine at the Euro's, 3 nationals and a regional without it failing scrutineering. I guess since the car has come to the fore in the 'off' season where scrutineering isn't so 'popular' then the problem has been 'masked'. We're testing some low profile nuts at the moment. So we'll have some of these out soon. Like we've said before if you have an issue with your kit please get in contact with us, or speak to one of the Team drivers, that's what we're here for. I know for a fact that other manufacturers cars failed on a similar issue and one of them costs more than ours ![]() ![]()

Hi guys, sorry for my stupid question: but what is "the box"? What do you mean with the writing on the inside/out side?
I am just curios. Ps i don t know if it helps but the tresrey axle have a shorter tread and the nuts are flat..more than the stock durango wheel nuts. Bye |

at regional and national BRCA events the cars have to fit in a box and be over a certain wieght to be legal and durango don't quite fit in the box without abit of dremel work on the axles/wheelnuts
i take it you mean the writing on the tyre just to say what it is eg schumacher minispike and the tresrey axles would work but may need abit of dremel work cheers paul |

i had to dremel 3mm bout off mine
once the old ones are reworked with a dremel the mk2 versions are physically then the same as you have? is this not "model" car racing? As part of being a modeller, dont you change, alter, rework stuff for your own benift? does efra/ifmar etc all run the same width rule?

And who is to say that the box is the right size? I know of someone many moons ago, bought a Bosscat, totaly standard kit, kit wheels, Schumacher tyres etc, and it didn't fit in our region's box, so he got a metal bar made to the BRCA width, tries it in the box, guess what? the box was too small

Thank you for the information about the box.
Here is a picture with the difference between Tresrey and Team Durango axle and wheel nut. ![]() |

3mm is more than a cumulation of tolerances.... if that is both sides, thats a 1/4" in total...

yes i think alot of people are changing to the low profile serrated nut but even that needs alittle bit grinding of it |

No excuse for a top end race car not to be made within the rules, or new correct parts be supplied to 'kit 1' buyers free of charge.

OK. So what, exactly, is the maximum allowable width?
