I just put the ESC & Rec in baloons. Simply cut off the neck of the baloon so the equipment will fit inside, then cable tie around where the wire exits.

They can only blow up if they actually get wet

I think I need clarify, perhaps I should have said they can only blow up due to water ingress, should they actually be allowed to become wet.

That any better?

That is a valid point, especially for those such as the latest brushless ones running with a fan (eg: Novak).

However, with wet conditions usually comes lack of grip, hence less current draw and an easier time for the ESC. I generally find my motors and ESC's run way cooler when on a lower grip or wet surface.

Watercool it instead, put it in a little jar of distilled water, just make sure the esc is perfectly clean too (for those that didn't know, only 'dirty' water conducts electricity) hows that for a lateral thinking approach to waterproofing?
