To fit a AE gear diff in a B4 or X6 you need ;

SC10 gear diff
SC10 gear case
SC10 Metric diff bearings
SC10 T plate (gear box mount)

Has anyone yet tried the gear diff vs ball diff and measured lap times?

My friends has few Durangos at the moment and they work great indoors and outdoors aswell.

Sorry for the late reply. I think the transmission case on the X6 is too narrow to take the diff. additionally, the diff bearings on the gear diff are metric, so won't fit properly...

An Xfactory transmission case that ate the gear diff would be cool though

Of course they wont! what was I thinking, I must have had a few beers when I wrote that, but all those bits will work to get a gear diff in a B4!

I know in 4wd gear diffs are just as good a ball as i tested in the early 90's and prefered the gear mainly down to the torque i could get out of a corner using gear. I tried in 2wd as well and was not as good with gear so went back to the better suited ball which gave more control. I hope this info helps you out a bit
