If I was looking for a first 4wd buggy, I personnaly would be very happy with the Kyosho Lazer ZX5, they do an RTR (for £180), I don't know how these hold together, but the fully spec'd one could be picked up s/hand cheaply (I would think for around 70 to 80 pounds)

without doubt, others on here will have opinions, but I liked my ZX5 and found it to be a competitive, easy to drive and set-up car.

I guess for people to advise, you need to have a think about what your budget is.

As Dazzler says, you'll need a 4wd buggy if the club that you will be racing at has a polished wooden floor. You'll have little to no chance with a 2wd!

Either get a cheaper new buggy like the Kyosho zx5 or a Hpi Cyber 10b. You could even get a second hand Associated B44, Schumacher Cat Sx or similar off this forum resonably cheaply.

b4 and madrat work great on wooden floors with mini stikes on most of the club uses 2 wheel drive

Hi All,

Thanks for all of the advice I am really stuck what to do now too many options. It sounds like 4wd is definately the best option for hard floors, thanks I will take a look and see if i can find something like a Kyosho Lazer ZX5 specced up as you mention Dazzler for £80 ish. I was really looking to do this on a budget if possible for about £100 to get me up and running. I would expect to then have to buy a battery on top of this amount.

I already have my Spektrum DX3 controller and SR3000 receiver 2.4 ghz system from my Losi 8ight nitro buggy so I guess these will be fine with an electric set-up running indoors and to save more cash?

Thanks all, if anyone hears of a reasonable price 4wd electric buggy for sale cheapish please kindly let me know.

Regards
Simon
