Oh, ok. I'm not sure which one my car will have, I should be here within the next day or two.... or three. But I eill be looking forward to trying both.
And I'm just curious, I read every report oOple makes and I see you guys run spiked tires, which is waaaay different then the types of tires we rub over here (but on different surfaces of course) but if you guys were to run on a small to medium sized CLAY track, which type of tires would you grab first. I think I prefer the 'euro' type of racing, you guys are way more open minded then we are..(I prefer dirt though) for example: X-Factory is an american company... but you guys support the car way better then we do here.. most americans are afraid of change. Not bash my own country but I wish we could do a little more outside the box these days. |

I've been racing my TTech '95 (!) at Proline Dirt Arena and Proline Holeshots work well there (hard packed clay). Wasn't quite sure about how much to cut the supplied foam inserts down though, really wide to start with. No wear at all either.

o was just curious to see if you guys run spikes on clay. On a small clay would you recomend a one-way or the ball-diff up front?

the oneway is in the propshaft rather than a diff. it is also tuneable by sliding orings over it so you can get some braking. different team members (myself included) are running a solid prop as its easier to slow the car down, others with the oneway prop find the car flows better so take your own choice as to which to run. personally on a tight track id run the solid prop

t8rtot - in terms of tires, look at what the locals run, generally there is a conserative and aggressive choice. The clay tracks I run on in NY and CT - Losi BK bars or J Concepts Bar Codes are the "fast" tires, but can be on the edge. Holeshots or Double D's are safer, more consistant, but tend to be slower per lap.
