Fourth and last round of WJ-series was run in Jyvaskyla. We had awesome track with big triple and nice wallride. Check out 2WD A-mains and comment.

Now our indoor season is over and our Finnish Championship series starts in the end of may.

Larger picture

Finnish Championship outdoor season kicked off here in Jyvaskyla. The track was in similiar shape than year before. We added some Astro turf in to 8-pack to smoothen the ride.

We have A-mains on video. Here you go:

I want to move to finland! You have the sort of tracks I love, where you need a mega fast motor and you get big air

Love the Espoo, Jyvaskyla, Maastosarja and Lippulaiva tracks!

Finnish Championship outdoor season continued at Salo on 1/8th scale track which was in pretty rough condition. Anyway race was raced and I've got some video from the event.

In 4WD the fluorescent yellow car was driven by Joseph Quagraine and the car has gear diffs and mid diff! Kinda unique setup for electric 1/10 buggy.

Season continues on 11th and 12th of september, when round 3 is run at Hyvinkaa.

Default Maastosarja 2010 #3 - Vaasa

Finnish outdoor electronic offroad championship series returned to WC 2011 venue at Vaasa.

2WD ran in dry conditions on saturday. Sunday came with a rain when 4WD was trying to survive in muddy conditions. Check the videos out!

Last round of the series is run in two weeks at Hyvinkaa. Hopefully we get dryer conditions...

Fourth and last round of Finnish 1/10th scale outdoor electronic offroad championship series was held at Hyvinkaa. From last year track had had some changes in form of larger jumps and longer back straight.

Default Winter Jumps 2010-2011 #1 - Nokia
Our outdoor season is done and we head to indoors for the winter. Our national indoor offroad series started at Nokia last weekend.

Main classes in the series is 10th scale 2WD and 4WD. Also CORR is run as an extra class if there is enough drivers to it.

Track was awesome and 10 cars finals were pretty hectic on a relatively short track.

We've had two Winter Jumps events after my last report here.

Winter Jumps 2010-2011 #2 - Vantaa:
Second event of the series was run in Vantaa, near Helsinki.

Track was the best track that I've run indoors ever.
Front jump was huge. Pictures just doesn't do justice.

JQ was running 2wd and 4wd.

Oulu is 600 km to north from Helsinki so the place is pretty close to the arctic circle. Anyway weather wasn't that bad outside, only -10 C.

Track was built to school hall with innovative use of gym equipment. Local star driver Vesa Yli was racing in 4wd with Serpentine/Durango proto.

Hometown of finRC (290km north from Helsinki) and my club (RCCJKL) organized this event.

Winter Jumps 2010-2011 #6 - Helsinki:
Last event of the series was held in Model-Expo at Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. It was great event with big crowds! JQ and Ari Heinonen was having good race in 4WD.

Our indoor season is now over. Finnish championship series starts on 14th of may and WC warm-up is raced one week later in Vaasa. I'll be racing 4wd in these events and hopefully I'll get someone to film them for me.
