1: Keep the radio gear, sell everything else.

2: You were trying to design a buggy whilst not actually owning or running one??!!??

3: You walk past Batley outdoor track on your way to work and are asking where to race?

4: You are an active member on possibly the best source of offroad information online available (especially in the North East) There is an entire section dedicated on where and when to race...

Hey Col, you're rather like Inspector Morse!

I didn't see the sense in any of the stated either.

One thing which his striking me in the face like a soggy Trout, is the buggy project car. Talking from my own point of view, when ever I take on any large projects (i.e. this example is not specific to RC) the motivation and enthusiasm starts off sky high, but eventually plummets to sub-zero taking the whole enthusiasm away from anything to do with it.

So, drop the project (I know you already have), declare to yourself that it was a mistake and continue to enjoy the sport using the choices already offered and stop wondering how to make your own, maybe use your mind to improve on them instead.

Oh, and ofcause burn the 2D cars - film it for You-tube, and buy an off-roader!!!!

Also isnt this the same person who said he imports the Voodoo cells?
If so then how would saying you are giving up racing & then changing your mind within twelve hours make for a plausable supplier? Where's the back up for the end user?
Apologies if it isnt you but i thought i read on another post that you were the UK distributor?

Just like to point out to Mr morse:

- I can only race on Saturdays, I have other commitments on Sunday's so batley is always out of the question.

- I did import Voodoo cells, however, voodoo has stopped trading for a undisclosed amount of time due to family illness.

- I made the HUGEST mistake about the buggy. I can not possibly do anything of sell able quality or race able handling and characteristics.

- I am not on caffeine, so it must be YOU lot who are hallucinating.

Caffiene gives me panic attacks hehe

Teesside is also open on Saturday nights. Bit far for you maybe but it's worth the trip now and again, especially if you've never been.

There's been many a time when i've promised i'm going to quit! Think I managed to pack in for about 5 months when the money dried up. I probably will when I can afford to buy a silly fast big car so I can throw money at that instead.

Liam, Don't do it! As when we are paying per mile, you won't be able to use it anyway and we'll all be going racing on a horse and cart!

I sold up last year when there was wind of our company closing and I needed money to save incase I lost my job, sods law the place didnt close and I was without RC gear. I seriously missed it, and it wasnt too long before I was stocking up on kits and gear. Needless to say I was made redundant in the middle of January and this time there was no way I was gonna sell up. Now I have a new job im glad I didnt sell.
