NTL / Virgin

cable broadband never had an issue with apart from we went
wireless @ home and I didn't realise I needed a new mac
address. Got a new modem with new mac address inside 2 or 3
days

TV
pain in the arse when phoning to sort out their c**kups when
they over charge.

Never drops a TV signal though. If not in use we switch off the
box of tricks overnight (not left ob standby) and reboot it in
the morning. That way it always gets the latest updates they
may have sent down the wire.

Biggest issue we've had was getting a new remote for the cable box. They started out @ something like week to 12 days to get one to me due to the way it has to be release through the system. Couldn't we just get up and down to from our seats to change channels like they used to do in the 60's/70's before remotes came out etc, cheeky bar-stewards. Told someone in Virgin that the company wasn't as big as it is today because Richard Branson didn't sit on his arse, he kicked them and theirs would be next if I got through to Richard. Happy ending is that like buses they come in 3's. 3 remotes came the following day
rant over
