If you can't get it to fit you could always try using one of the other Losi bodies that also fit onto the XXX-CR. I've got a Phobia (#A8041) body on mine at the moment that gives you another 1/2" height compared to the standard body.

Don't use the body clips. Use velcro around the lip on the chassis

As you asked so nicely! Here are some photo's of the Phobia body compared to a standard XXX-CR body.
They aren't the best photo's ever as they are off my phone but I think you'll get the idea! I hope you don't mind my washing being in the background
