Well the car arrived about 10 days ago and after some problems with the post I received the servo mounts late last week.

I wanted to sort out mouting the electrics and do all the associated drilling before building the car but the waiting got the better of me and I cracked on with the build and sorted the holes at the end, it all worked out ok in the end anyway although the 1st set of holes I drilled for the battery straps were perfect until I realised that once I'd countersunk them there would be no material left.

Some photos -

I am going to try and pick up a better servo horn, the one I've got on it is a fastrax one that I've cut down. I also need the x10 rockers but they are out of stock at the moment.

Thoroughly enjoyable car to build, I hope it goes as well as it looks.

Has anyone got any setup tips for worksop as next week will be it's 1st outing?

Those fastrax horns are really good it it's the ones that have a metal ring round the spline, just need to dremel the shape to smooth it out. KO do the same thing but slightly more expensive and BLACK which always looks best.

car looks great mate.
i haven't actually been to Worksop with mine yet, but Nathan Ralls (Niggs) and a few others have, so they should be able to point you in the right direction.

For set up, i'd start with Kev Lee's set up; so far it's worked fairly well everywhere i've tried it..

EDIT: Or Nathan's Worksop set up?

Hope this helps,

Hope you enjoyed the car yesterday at worksop.

When I get time I'll write my full lipo setup out and you can give it a go like that.

Your help yesterday was fantastic mate thank you very much, the car was certainly better after you tweaked it.

I can't believe how lucky I was to be able to get the snapped rocker pin out without damaging the cross brace, I checked the price when I got home, £30 for a replacement, ouch.

When my driving wasn't letting the side down the car was great, hopefully next time I can do the car more justice next time.

Sorry to ask what must look like a dumb question, but what's the difference with an X11 versus and X11 08 ? Just looked on the website and there's no mention of on '08' model just the pricing for the regular X11 ?

Also, how much is the X11 08 ?

Cheers.

Hi Andy,

The X11 08 is the kit with all the developments the team has made this year already included in the box.
so, for example, buying an '08' car you wouldn't need to seperatly buy the big bore shocks because they are included in the kit.

Sorry, i don't know a price.

any more questions, just ask .

HTH
Andy

What other development parts are in the 08 kit apart from the big bore shocks?

Ben

From what I can remember:

New shocks
New front upper arms for more castor
New pivots for front rockers
New Rear carbon parts with different shock mounting positions.

I'm sure there's others but I can't remember what they are

i must be geting slow in my old age as missed this one lol. as the lads have said the x11-08 is a kit with all the developments that have been done through the year by the team so that no upgrades are needed. it will cost aprox £400 so no increase on the x11

As far as I know only the new shocks, front arms and turnbuckles are the unly upgrades, the wheels are black now too.

The pivots are still the same as well as the rear carbon towers.

The Kit costs £340 and assuming Xtreme honour the 15% VAT from monday it will cost you a total of £391, a whole £9 less than I paid.

Default New Saddle pack Battery

Reedy came out with a new saddle pack LiPo with 35C rating, wonder will it fit into the Pred without any mod.

Hi
It probably will not fit under the body, being 28 mm tall. The trackPower 4800 mAh is 30 mm tall & doesn't fit, so...
