Bit of an update..

Made a start on putting the TC Spec back in the pred... got my fixings today to secure the servo, so still that to do!

Drilled the chassis back bone to put the hall senser wire through.. should look much neater when finished.

Ive removed one of the fan screws before anyone says! as it just catching the shell..

The RC10 is all sorted too

Try re soldering your speedo so that the motor wires come out of the bottom then you can put the motor wires through the spine too!! much neater!!

pred shells have there difficult bits blitz. have just sprayed a fresh one for this weekend. if ya use spray mask ya will be fine tho or its bleed city on the rib for the chasis to clip into and is hard work getting behind the 2 air scoops. other than that they are awsome and with all the lines they have look really good with a pro job on them like a man of your kaliber can create (niggs on dc's pc trackside at epr )

Default my pred pictures

These are the pictures of my pred which finished 4th at the york regional. Since then i have cut the lugs off my servo, taped it down with high stick tape and moved the batter strap posts more to the side so i can get my brushless on the chassis as well. Looking foward to the next outing. Peter has put the set up i had on the sut up thread. Found it worked great at york.

Finally got round to taking some pictures of the car now finished.. complete with new servo set up and new shocks..

Im happy with it now, looks nice and neat and managable

I decided to use 4 fixings for the servo using the bits Lewis supplied to me, the 2 new annodised bits for the side of the chassis and 2 x motor to shock tower tubes.. all bits fitted a treat, on the tubes i just filed a little bit from both ends and was a perfect fit the servo is a couple off mm of the chassis to take into acocunt the slightly angled part at the edge (which is why i used 4 fixings..) The position of the servo is a little further away from the battery clamp post that other people have done this was simpy the only option to make it neat, i made a hole either side of the bodyshell mounting hole and secured it that way.. any closer to the battery clamp post the positioning of the new holes would go into the existing hole (bodyshell mount hole) and just look a mess..

With the servo being a liitle further away i had to make up a new bar to extend from the servo to the steering on the pred.. i would say it was about 10mm to short, not alot but it meant the servo wouldnt be in the ideal positioning to get the optimum through plus the ball ends were only turned on a few turns.. Now the bar is spot on length, the servo sits in the right position and the ball ends are screwed all the way in! (i used welding rod to make the bar 3.2mm thick) and used a 3mm die to put the thread on (had to file down both ends for die to work..)

Ive adjusted everything not on my Esprit 3 and its spot on!

Sorry to waffle eveyone...

People who have the new shocks fitted, how have they found them on the assembley side... all was fine for me except the last e-clip on the shock piston.. very tight fitting and not very good quality... also abit disapointed it didnt come with different shock pistons and springs especially considerig the cost..

Cheers

Nick

Maybe some nortech countersunk washers would finish it off properly on the servo

Looks good. Btw most companys dont send all the springs and pistons with there shock kits.
Just out of interest how much is the full shock kit?

Think the shock kits work out at £60 from memory..

When i used to race years ago (Turbo Optimas, Mid Optimas, Ultima, JRX2 etc) with Kyosho Option House shocks you used to get everything with them.. times change i guess!

As for the screws on the servo... i need to get the round head versions as i have fitted on the servo horn side.. i have a little list of other bits i need, new stronger rocker pivots etc but unfortunatley im not getting any response back what so ever from team Extreme yanina / Lewis etc either by phone email or pm???

Cheers

Hi there,

We have been really busy and we answer pm/emails by order they come in. As we supply worldwide we do have a lot to get through each day and the only fair way is do it 'first come first served basis'.

I can confirm I received pm's from you but no emails with phone calls as we are also working on developments etc it can be hard to hear the phone, through machinery but there is a answer phone to compensate for this

Regards

Yanina
