This post has discusted me. The flippent attitude towards what is a very serious issue.

Swollen LiPo's are nothing to be taken lightly, and dealing with them also should be taken with a greater sense of.............oh who am I kidding....throw a hammer at it and see if it goes's off like one of those chinese bang bang's you used to throw at the floor !

PS....don't throw it at it to close

PPS......mind when the detination fires the hammer back into the air that it doesn't come back the same way it travelled

PPPS...........don't waste salt....you will need it to kill slugs and grit your drive in the winter

PPPPS..................is the LiPo still swollen ?

The battery is the least of your problems now. As you may be aware there are certain trigger words that are monitored over the web.
TICKING TIMEBOMB is probably one of them.
When your in bed tonight and hear glass breaking, dogs snarling and a huge bang followed by teargas and a load of gun barrels pointing at you by big huge men in black, make sure you got your skiddies on when they haul you down the road.

Ebay them - just make sure you don't have to wait too long in the post office queue holding them when you go to post them.

Seriously though I would stick in a bucket of salt water and leave for a few days then take to local recycling centre. I had a pack that were slightly swollen (enough to crack the case slightly) because I had stupidly left connected in car and I just put it in a bucket of sand and thought I'd sort it out later. Few days later (4 or 5 days) when I went to sort it out it had swollen out of all shape, almost twisted. Amazed it had not burst. Chucked it in a bucket of salt water (I used loads because I was scared) and it deflated over a couple of days. In future I'll deal with any cells like this straight away because they are not going to get any better.

Should we be worried that Northy hasn't replied to this thread since yesterday?
Has anyone heard from him?
Have there been any reports of house fires in his area?
