Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax is the best for the £ by far.

If you want out and out shine, Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax, but it will last only a few weeks. Whereas Nattys lasts months.

I agree on the Autoglym window stuff, I use Quick Detailer on windows - its good for all panels, especially while drying the car after a wash. The specific stuff I use the the Meguire Nxt Generation Speed Detailer.

The best window cleaner i have ever used is 'clearvue' from halfords.
No smears, no powder or residue, just spray and wipe.
Gives you much more time to clean out the inside of your exhaust tailpipe, and pick stones out of your tyres, at Concours events

Just spent 2 days taking off 16 years of Vauxhall flame red fading on my car, and used simoniz diamond hard wax to finish it off, saw it in halfords and remembered hearing good things so i gave it a go... the car wasn't even actually polished properly because the t cut we have seems to have gone off (the can looks like it's from the 50's ) and the simoniz stuff has delivered a brilliant deep shine and masks all the swirl marks caused by rubbing compound unless you get it at *just* the right angle.

I only use g3 after i have flatted(wet and dry) a new paint finish, sure it will bring back colour but for general use i would use g10. Its a little less harsh on the paint. As for finishing polish my personal preference is either auto glym or nielsen liquid gold

I use Autoglym super resin for a polish, give areas like the sills, bonnet etc a couple of coats to clear all bugs and tar spots. Polish off then wax immediately before any dust settles.

On customers cars we have used Sonus Claybars in the past, but personally it hurts me to do that as they're so harsh - even the mild ones. When I have infinite time (own car), just use elbow grease and patience with low abrasive products.

T-cut is too harsh in my opinion too - doesn;t leave scratches/swirls but removes more paint depth than necessary.

LOL, you didn't look close enough then - its swirl central! But then again, until I show the swirls people don't even know what I am talking about. (WIll show you)

He uses Autoglym Super Resin. Sometimes he uses an Autoglym I bought a while ago with a black label - it was supposed to be good, but it reacts to engine heat on the bonnet, he likes it though Im fussier.

LOL - the E-type is getting a respray shortly too.

(I can see the thumbs joke wearing thin quite soon.)

I came home on Wednesday night, and outside home was the E-type, an AC Cobra and an Aston martin V8 Vantage. Dad was going to a car show with his mates, when he got home told me they'd done a bit of racing en-route, not beyond the speed limit ofcause
