Well, most people wont need it, but I'm sure people wanting every upgrade for the car will buy it.
I ran the car myself without the front one-way and it drove like no other, super easy to drive.
I dont see what else Id need for it.
I have a front-one way, Aluminim steering bridge etc..
I still dunno what the aluminum steering bridge is gonna do,
I havent installed it yet, or do I even need to?
The alu steering bridge gives you some extra ackerman options.

I never saw much use for a centre oneway. You loose 4 wheel braking and don't have the drive out of corners like you would have with a front oneway, and this with only marginally more steering.

And sure the TRF501X can use some more steering. I run a front oneway 90% of the time. Only on really rutted tracks do I use a front diff. I can only advice you to try the front oneway : for most people it makes the TRF a much faster car.

Alway remember (I think it was Andretti who said it) : "If you have everything under controll, you're not going fast enough."

I've been looking at these and I was wondering if there is anyway to lock so I dont have to rebuild the center transmission if i want to switch to a fixed 4wd. Also is there any way to make it adjustable so I can adjust the amount of braking to the front wheels ?

I might get it myself to play around with as im not that big of a fan of front one ways I much prefer there to still be a diff in the front. I miss the Cat 3k's adjustable front braking!

I see that Stella Models has these listed on Ebay at this time. It says for use with the 501X worlds or DB01 cars but not for use with 501X/original 501X. Is there a difference between the layshafts of the standard 501X and worlds 501X, I didn't think they had any diferences between the two except for the larger pulleys in this area! Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone here own both the regular and worlds 501X. Also I notice that there doesn't appear to be any other pulley in the kit for drive to the rear of the car, being that the standard car has both pulleys mounted to the keyed piece of aluminum it would seem that the car would require a seperate pulley to drive the rear wheels with this oneway unit in place. Has anyone obtained one of these units as of late?

I assume it comes with a metal 18t pulley - requiring a words car, db01 or original 501X with big pulley conversion. I also guess the 'other' pulley which isn't included (your own 18t pulley) mounts onto its own smaller mounting, which is pinned to the shaft leaving the oneway pulley to spin on its own.

I guess one of the larger aluminum looking spacers in the pic may be the keyed part for one of the pulleys for the rear, now that you mention it. It's hard to tell because you can't see any notches in either of them so they just look like spacers. Maybe it has a flange on one side which is the side facing us in the pic and thats why I can't see the notches! I guess it's a time will tell dilema, still wondering if this can be adjusted, it doesn't look like it can but if I recall the yokomo just uses some sort of cone washers to put tension on the pulley, no springs and such.

I purchased the center one-way last night on eBay. Should have it in a week or so, but my trial run/testing won't happen until mid-September.

Racing Factory should have two center one-way sets in stock. I bought mine few weeks ago.
