After 15 years of racing I have a few...

Broke 2 KO 1001 servo's in one day, one was a friends and my dad had to pay the £40 for it to be repaired...

Broke the front shock tower on my Lazer ZX-R, after I jumped it into the lawn mower, while Nick Goodall's dad was cutting the grass at the clubs outside track. Got a nice shiny Carbon one instead tho!

Did 6 ball ends in one winter meeting on my pred (the part at the hub end of the wishbone). I think the cold weather had something to do with this..

Good points (NEVER broke a XX4 belt ever...), or shock tower or wishbone.

One sticks out in my mind;
It was a club night at York indoor and it was practise after the the heats. Matt Myers had a go with Lil Bens car and he drove into the computer knockin it off the table it was on . Luckily nothing broke and nothing got unplugged so the finals could be sorted.

Sorry Matt lol

hmmmm, well me and Losi cars have never ever gotton on at any point in my racing life since 1989. One season, when the XX first came out, I jumped on the proverbial band wagon, and the car would break stupid stuff for rather bizarre reasons..... and it all came to a head at Cheltenham (I think) in a RRCi meeting.

Went out in practice, rear hub, round 1, shock tower, round 2, hub, went and bought another Schumacher 2wd and started building, round 3, sheared a ballstud on the rear tower, round 4, ran a newly built Schumacher and made the A, after qualifying, the Losi went in the drainage ditch...

well my worst crash was with my losi mini-t. the car has been throgth alot. it has been crahed into by a hyper 10 on-road at full trottle. it was drowned in a puddle of water. and then to kill it it was jumped off the back of a morris fg ambulance on to tarmac (ouch). that jump broke the front chassis plate into 3 peices, chiped a large section out the front bumper, broke the plate that holds the battery case down and snapeed the front top chassis plate. so alot of damage in that one crash but i fixed with cable ties and duct tape. like they say there is noting you cant fix with cables ties and duct tape.

The stupidest crash i have ever had was my own drunken fault. Me and my mate were stopping at my nans bungalow while she and my grandad went away and one particular evening we decided to go into the attic room and put my R/C buggy (at the time a B3) on the roof and jump it onto the garden grass(great idea!!!) only the plan didnt work as i hit the god damn garden path!!! As you can imagine there was not much left to salvage! lol - beer makes you do wonderful things

The stupidest thing I did was on the beach I had just finish rebuiling my LST2 and forgot to put the plug the servos on the recivers.
I started up the car and it took off doing hudge circle. it wasn't going too fast ; but fast enough for me to look like a fool to try to catch it.

i had a good one with my old xxx at batley one sunday when it was quiet.

went up at full chat to the double but car was not straight. the car went up and the outside front wheel caught the paving slab which is the barrier on the side....slingshotted the car round and it went spinning into the metal container clearing the whole width of the straight first.

Not a bit of damage....next run, just touched the edge of the kerbing at the concrete hairpin and snapped a wishbone!!

I remember that!

I used to 'race' (mainly crash) there with my Cougar 2. It was the track with the tight banked turn wasn't it?

Mine would be super gluing my 501x rear diff together.

Due to that I need new pulleys...

My front diff is okay and has been sealed shut with CA with the
cardboard diff cover.

I made a mistake and didnt let the diff sit vertical instead I sit it
sideways and it dried into the rear diff balls.

I once hit one of the wooden jumps our club uses at an awkward angle and started to roll, got my aerial caught between the take off ramp and the tabletop section it pulled the entire aerial out of the car reciever!

Hi-tec replaced the aerial for free though.

Snapped my b4 chassis across the bottom, duck tape and superglued it for the last heat, qualified for an a final with my fastest run of the day, then snapped the top brace (which was holding the whole operation together together) on the first or second lap.

Racing at my club (village hall, slippery floor) I came out onto the straight and thanks to radio interference from a duff motor I went straight on into one of the concrete pillars built into the wall.

Cue one snapped Lazer ZX-5 chassis and an email to get the KMC conversion kit........

I didn't do this one but nearly threw up at the sight.

About ten years ago racing wide touring cars (ah the days ) one of the guys running F1 at that race drove straight into a marshalls foot. The marshal was wearing sandals and the F1's front spoiler took the guys toenail clean off. The race was stopped because the poor guy was rolling around on the straight holding his toe...

My mates dad took a predator (the old one with the pointy nose) in the knee and cracked a kneecap. Ouch!
