Nice Johannes!

Already added some option parts, huh?

Guess the DB01 Aluminum Damper Bushings not are included in kit?
Nor the HL damper cylinders and Hard Titanium Coated Piston Rods?
Does it come with TRF501X Damper Rod Guide Set?

Also added alu caster blocks and new 201 alu rear hubs. AND the blue titanium turnbuckles of course...

So, maybe the 502X WE will have all those options and then when they release the 512 it will be easier to maintain, but not have all those nice bling stuff.

It really doesn't even come with the wo driveshafts?

So not only is it less bilgy than the 201, they've even de-spec'd it compared to the 511?

Does it come with plenty of shims for the gearboxes?

What are the wo driveshafts? Not heard of them and what's different about them.

Thanks.

WO stands for Wide-Operation (I think), so they work at a bigger angle, and therefore allow more droop.

But, to achieve this they need to be 'further out', which requires a different hub (wo hub) or a skinnier inner bearing on a standard hub. (I think it's that way round, forgive me if that's all backwards!)

I'm baffled why they 502X doesn't have WOs...

They're nothing special... I fail to see why you think the ones on the 502X aren't the same as those...

All the parts Fredrik mentioned are not Stock. But you can´t really say that Tamiya de spec´d it because for example the 511 doesn´t come with the Hard Hex ball connectors.
With the philosophy of Tamiya it is logic not to include all Hop Ups especially if not all are necessary. It is better for them to release a kit with SOME of them and price it so that people will buy it and let them buy the Hop Ups they want. Of course this philosophy brings more money in because people like the bling
I will make a list of what Hop Ups i installed later today.

The WO shafts have the driveshaft wrap around the axle, the older ones have the axle wrap around the driveshaft, thats the physical difference and what I've seen on Muratti's pics seem to show the latter?

As for performance, I think there is a difference, not sue how it translates to lap times though!

Some more pics from the built Chassis including electronics. Also some manual pics of the parts. I had to trim the Undercowl as per manual and make new holes for the attchment with the screws as the 511 holes won´t fit. Not quite Tamiya but it worked well and looks good.

Some more manual parts pics. Tamiya provided a very nice new tool to make setting up the slipper very easy

It might depend on your setup, I run more droop than most (on the rear anyway) so am more likely to see an effect, never looked at both back to back though to see if the standard one's still work at max droop, so for all I know they do just as well!

I definitely noticed a difference when I switched over on the DB01, but that could just be because I went from old worn shafts to new ones I guess!

No one ever said that Aerations are not included, i wonder why you noticed that fact? Or do you mean the HL damper cylinders and Titanium Nitride Shock Shafts? These are NOT included in the kit.

Certainly wouldn't buy from the States, from where I'd no doubt get raped by customs

So where in HK are you all buying from and what you paying?
