Hi berry50

I have been away, hence why the site had been slow to be updated.

I have seen the email entry so don't worry. The driver list will be updated shortly.

Thanks

Chris

Default Next Round at A1 Racing

Guys is there a contingency plan if it is raining this weekend?
Not all SC Trucks will be completely waterproof, was just wondering as not to have a 4 hr drive down for nothing?Really want to race these next two rounds to get enough points to complete the series!

Invest in some blu-tack and maybe an undertray

A waterproof jacket/hat, transmitter muff (or plastic shopping bag) a gazebo or tall tent, as said some blu-tack and underbody, some fastrax Bullseyes work well in wet too.

Don't forget a pint of 'Man-Up' before the 4hr drive...

Its an Astroturf track with really good drainage and racing in the wet is awesome, there is a compressor available to clean cars off between rounds too!

It rained constantly all day at our 2WD Regional and there were no electrical faults at all... i ran 4WD SCT with no underbody protection apart from blu-tack on speedo/motor connections and had no issues... so did all the others!

Certainly did! But the track surface was fine all day - good drainage so no standing water

You beat me too it Chimp.

And a bit of silicon sealent on your brushless sensor wire plug also helps.... apparantly.

Some pics of the regional here, and it was as wet as it looks! I hid in race control all day

Decent nylock nuts on your wheels also highly recommended.....apparently, and for some particularly unlucky people, might one suggest some threadlock and split pins to make trebly sure you don't lose a wheel in the heat of racing?

I will be up on Saturday for practice (I sorely need it) and I'm not planning on making a 5 hour round trip home to Wales and back for Sunday so yes, I'll be camping

Yes a brilliant day up at A1 today. Nice flowing but challenging track (especially with the wind) and some great racing.

Really looking forward to the series finale in two weeks time.

The wind had my truck with it's nose in the air on small bumps let alone the jumps!! Hey at least it wasn't raining as well!!

Lets hope for a bigger turn out for the final round in two weeks time, if you've got a SCT, come race it!

After being in the hobby now for just under a year,i am addicted!!!
Great fun racing, just managed to scrap into the A-final in 2wd and ended up with a broken gearbox at start so DNS all the finals.
Note to self after a 12mnths of driving the car and 70 or so packs later, gearbox will fail if you dont check it!
