Innstalled electronics in my Vega today. What is the best way to fix the brass weight kit parts?

Very nice. Toying with the idea of getting one of these. Is that the shell it comes with?

Hi Dave,

yes that is the new Gen III shell that comes in the conversion kit, I think it's a big improvement over the older shells for the Vega.

A shoe box would've been an improvement! The last ones were ghastly!

Thanks Rebel it looks good but not had chance to race it yet as we had a thunder storm and heavy rain Sunday. I've got round 2 of local regional series this Sunday so will get to test and race all in one

Car looks great Alex
Glad you like it! Gutted really that I sold it to you ( anyone ) I didn't realise that there is a new cult following of the RB5vega.
So easy to drive and on a larger outdoor track huge corner speed and great manners
Such a good car!
Anyway here is my new Vega offering
It's a TLR22 Vega Gen3 ( notice the acreage for radio install)
I've done one meeting with it so lots more to come yet but fapping awesome and really strong as well as cheap

Just chucked some paint at it ( not the best job I've done , a bit too dotty ) but none the less.... Nothing ugly/not gorgeous about that!
Gen3 shell is stunning with performance to match

Looking good boss, are you running the standard steering rack? Would be worth trying the exotek one back to back

Indeed it was going well, i should have got some setup hints from you for my Gen 3 RB6.

My Gen 3 went really well for me, i was very consistant but didnt push it as much as i should, it was also in stealth mode with my dodgy rattle can paint job. New shell should be here this week so will post pictures up then.

Default TLR22 Vega

Well I thought I'd try another of the Vega family to see what it was like. The same!!! Is the answer, which is good news if you can't afford the RB6 version and are considering the TLR22 version. I've only tested it on high grip astro, racing on grass this weekend, so will know more about how much grip it generates. I have fitted the Exotek steering kit and it seems to have enormous amounts of steering, no idea what the original rack is like, didn't like the look of it. To fit the Exotek bellcranks requires grinding of the chassis (and minor dremel slippage, oops!).

I've taken a photo of the rear end to try and show how close the motor is to the rear wheels, hopefully this will help on the slippy stuff.
