We (YORCC) just drive some bloody big peg style nails through (and into the astro) at RHR.

Drill the holes in the pipe first and then melt the outside to stop splitting. Just re-use the same holes over and over without problems if placed at convenient points.

Oh that is a shame pal good job you didn't have to pay
Sand in your diff after 3 mins try putting your gearbox tops on or at least make sure you have sealed it

Not being funny mate but you shouldent be going on the track without permision of roger, stu or si at the very least,as for the sand its been said enough times by various people at the club that the tracks NOT finished and the sand still needs brushing in!!!

If your diff was new then its probably been slipping with the grip. Did you bed it in properly or just go out and hammer it? and was you'r slipper set correctly?

I took my x6 round while we were down there building the rostrum and after 10 mins the diff was exactly the same as when I started and there wasn't a speck of sand in the car. The grip levels are just right and the bumps and humps are spot on. I can clear the 4 sleepers in one, no problem .

diff wasnt new been in use with no problems since january and slipper was slipping enough to protect the drivetrain i know it was the sand ans i found a few grains in it which after a good clean and regrease was back to like new condition. only had a ligth dusting over the car though and next to no sand inside soim going to have to find a way to fully seal the gearbox from sand

I can't see how sand could have got in the diff.. Are you sure the gearbox was fasted together properly? It realy does sound as though the Diff was loose or the slipper was too tight for the grip???

Default The track is closed

Yes, closed
Until we declare it fit to race on NO-ONE should be running on the track.

Lets get together on Saturday and do what needs to be done for a race on Sunday.....Leave your cars at home and bring your muscles.

Anybody got any re-bar we can cut up for pinning the hose ? (and some washers to weld on the end.)

We have concrete blocks and I have a jack and block and tackle to aid the lifting of the steps. Some-body with a towball on his car could help get them into position.
