sounds like we all agree to never fully tighten and back out cause it's the best way to kill the diff before even running it I will still try to hold the spring compressed for a few seconds at the next rebuild and see if it makes a difference

So we habe T/C balls, they were steel before (as I assume they were not ceramic)? HArder balls indeed can diminish the tuning window as they compress less.

I still use AE fluids, stealth lube and black graphite grease... Haven't even tried the x-gear fluids. All kyosho bias aside, would you recommend them fully?

Cheers gentlemen
Paul

I can run my diff CONSIDERABLY loser with no slip on the X-gear lubes. Never used them before I got them free in the kit ... now won't use anything else!

Thank you. Will use them next time for a perfect diff. Mind you, it works beautifully and feels "right" in the current form, but i hope the xgear silicon lube + spring break-in will help widen the tuning window a bit

Had the same issue Paul.

RB5 diff built with Bfast kit and PRT grease was awesome and forever lasting (even with highly boosted 10.5, very demanding on diffs) and got issue with my RB6 diff, either too loose or too stiff (so getting gritty quicker).

Will try a Bfast kit and some tricks and report back but so far not as good, don't know why.

So far I like the xgear diff lube (for diff ring) but not the black one.

Thanks for your input tomtom - yes, please let us know your findings. I usually trust my pal Didier's judgement, it's also good to have a third concurring opinion... Maybe a bad/different spring batch?

Will rebuild anyway. If problem doesn't go away, new spring/balls/plate will be dropped in...

cheers
Paul

The RB6 looks cool, Although from a shell painter point of view, I think not having the shell go alway back to the tower is a pretty stupid oversight

I think penguin are either going to do a new shell or an additional cowl (like the 210)

That will be handy for minimising the amount of s**t that gets blown over the gearbox and rear suspension!

Anyone know what the stock anti squat angle is and what increments/decrements the 0.5 and 1mm spacers make?
