Finally getting round to building mine, bit stuck!

Rear hingepin brace, does it replace the XXXcr one so as to clear the chassis? I assume I mount the pivot block the same way round as on the Losi kit and not backwards, as backwards I'd get rear toe out?

Dave you run the pivot block the same way as the std cr with toe in. Then you remove the std cr brace and through it out the window then install the new rear brace behind the wishbones and behind the rear tower.

Like so

Cheers Ash, and nice stuff!

Looks like we're now at the same stage, my next question is, at that stage J have used all the parts/screws in the kit, but still have 2 holes in the chassis/rear plate with no screws through them? I know the rear two will have the gearbox attach, I mean the ones just behind the rear battery posts, do I need to get some screws/nuts for it?

Also on the pics early on of Danny's car, looks like there's a brace coming off the motor plate down onto the chassis?

Finally, shells, are people using Velcro or buying body posts for the rear? If posts what are the part numbers?

Yeah there is a brace, Danny made them. I'd really recommend either sourcing one or making one because the fixing into the bottom of the gearbox is'nt going to hold up on its own very long.

Bodyposts are xxx-4 ones, think they come with the wing mounts?

Well, I don't have the tools to do my own! Is anyone else running a brace??

What are people doing with the 2 spare holes in the chassis/rear plate?

Dave, i've not run a brace all season, and have only stripped one gearbox case after casing a jump real hard. I believe there is an atomic brace in the making!! pm jc for more!
Velcro on the chassis here, but i think post would be a good idea
Have fun, you'll love the car mate

I have the gearbox braces in stock, i am just waiting for another batch of XD front towers, then i will get them added to the online store.

The two holes are to mount the brace depending if your using the LHD or RHD veriosn of the kit.
