it looks as if the SC10 may well create a whole new buzz class, like the early tamiya ta-01 based touring cars kicked off the on road thing in the early 90s.

i'm absolutely loving the scale looks, and all the youtube vids I've seen would indicate that they're a hoot to drive, offering some nice progressive sideways action. if someone could nail down a set of rules (10.5 or 13.5 motors only for example) this could well go massive.

I should have mine by the end of the week

Default Diff report

Had to re shim the diff gears the other night !

Mine was a kit version and basically had done around 40 mins running before it went on the first run at broxtowe last friday ! The big shim that come with the kit had basically worn out in the center where the pin would turn around and semi collapsed.! Thanks Rich for the shim kit I was able to add a shim to re-inforce this part and the diff is now ok.

Ps after trying 3000 wt oil then 30,000 weight oil and then just the black grease supplied. I can say the grease supplied is the better.

Just think that you will have to check the diff every two or 3 meetings and change the shims clean it out and re grease as a precaution ! No big deal though !

It would be a shame if they started to get 'serious'.
Obviously the 'racing' wil be serious, but it should be in the rules that the only thing you can change is the shock oil and change to a ball diff.

NOOOOOOOOOO ball diffs! Keep it kit! More fun and attractive to newbies if it doesnt need hop-ups. Just a thought.

Has anyone seen the SC10 up against the Slash in a club setting? I'm just wondering what sort of differences there are.

I've been reading about diff problems with the SC10 - one solution I read of was filling the diff with 40wt shock oil!

Put a shim behind the sun gears. 1 beind each is plenty. You may only need to do one. Mine came with a pair so fitted both. The sun gears are the ones attached to the output shafts.
