The install is not great but I'll run it like this until I know that everything is fine, then I'll pull it apart and shorten all the wiring.

Anyone managed to get a Turnigy Trackstar (100A) into a 410? (with an Rx too...... i can get it in if i leave the Rx out.......)

With all the motor wire's directly hooked up to the ESC how do you guys manage to clean out your motors?

Brushless motors are pretty maintance free. The only thing I do is oil the bearings a couple times a year.

Hmm. From what I have heard with sensored motors, they have holes in them so you have to take them apart after every 3-5 race days, To get out all the dirt. At least this is true on short course trucks, is it different on buggys?

I have a look in mine maybe every 6 months if you are lucky, the only real maintenance I do is keeping the bearings oiled.

Don't seem to get much dirt under the shell, and the 410 shell is pretty close fitting......... a blast of compressed air once or twice a week keeps it clean. And a dribble of oil on occasion.

Plus the 410 has a removable radio tray, so you can lift the whole lot out by undoing 4 bolts and pulling the servo plug out, motor, ESC and Rx.

looks real good.
not being picky but thought i would mention,there is a cut out near your servo saver the servo wire can pass threw save it hanging out.

Problem solved, put it in the 210 instead (very tight fit even there).

Then it failed, spectacularly.

Can't get the smell of burnt electrics off my fingers now.

I'd love to get this thread moving again, I enjoyed looking through the differing layouts when I was setting up my Durangos.

Here are the installs on my DEX410 and DEX210 (I'll admit I had someone who is much more adept than I am solder up both buggies).

410 with a Viper VTX10 and Viper 8.5:

i gaveup with the trackstar and stuck in an hpi flux instead, much easier install

here it is in the car, i stuck my hitec atom receiver under the front prop to give me room but i just didnt like the layout
