oh ! well , as the original shell is not even mid cab then we are going to offer something along the mid to forward cab ! so will be different to the original shell , no point doing a similar shell !
but you will have to wait and see

Any other shell we offer is unlikely to have a built in gear cover. To make sure the gears stay sealed it's safer to use the gear cover - I saw some issues at a couple of tracks that have put me off a fully incorporated design.

As for how far forward the cab might be - it won't be in the Bulldog league, and as the rear gearbox is quite high it certainly won't be that low at the back. I'm as keen as other people to see what Wezzer can come up with!

Interesting Keith! The original S2 didn't use the gear cover and as far as I know it's no less protected than other mid motor cars/shells...is there much difference to the gearbox area from the S2 then?

Didn't look very different from the few pics we've seen of them...is the spur higher up in the Centro, or is it more due to the lack of the tub shape with the ali chassis?

All this talk is making me impatient, I know that, looking forward to getting mine!

Andy, you're right of course. From the pictures I've found the original S2 used the bodyshell as a gearcover.
No idea how the height of the Centro gearbox compares with the S2, but it is certainly wider due to the B4.1 rather than B4 internals. This I reckon would make the gearbox too wide to use just the shell to cover the gears.
But as I mentioned, having seen a few other brands of car suffer with spur gear damage on a particularly sandy track we will stick with the separate gear cover.

Cheers Keith! Wider might do it...could get to the spur rubbing the shell if it's been moved out by the wider gearbox. Cover is def good belt and braces protection

C4.1 gearbox is the same height as the S2 gearbox, but wider to allow for the wider B4.1 diff.

Re the shell on the S2 some people ran with no gear cover (me) but you can trim the shell and use the B4 kit gear cover and its a nice fit, and handy on sandy tracks

I was the opposite to JC and always ran the gear cover on the S2 outdoors after having a few problems at coventry with sand although most other tracks it had been fine with out.

Nope....they say no news is good news though so fingers crossed for a sudden tidal wave of info Just having access to the s2/c4.1 shell is keeping us all a bit more content at present ...always loved that shell by the way

Spoke to Krob yesterday and the chassis's are at the anodisers, so just the gearbox casings to wait on so shouldn't be too much longer!!

All this suspense is really wetting my appetite for some electric offroad again!!
