I would guess anodised black but thats just a guess. The car doesn't appear to have a name yet - or at least its not been revealed. Neither has the shell (and I'm pretty sure there is one). Perhaps the design / materials might still change yet..
Or indeed they might release a 'S' version, with more plastic parts - that would be great to have two versions.

an 'S' verion of the car would be great for entry level 4WD racing

Anodised Black. Not placcy. But very affordable. Don't ask me the price....I won't tell you. But you'll be very suprised...in a good way!

Well spotted!
Looks good to me, and glad to see they kept with the 4WD theme of naming their car with a 4 or and X in the title. Go on, name one that doesn't

Moved to the shiney new HB/Hpi sub forum. Now, let's see the 2WD mr.skelding!

The naming departments should really explore and experiment deep philosophical names.

Slighlty off topic but this does relate to the new HB buggy amongst many others.

Isnt it a shiney time for electric off road.
I recently rekindled my interest in the sport and was pleasently surprised by both the info/forums/friendlyness available and also the choice of kits/classes too.
The WWW must have something to do with it.

Long may it continue

Nice looking buggy BTW

yeah it's great. I'd like to see more entry level buggys though and certainly more 2WD ones.

Not sure if I will be running it this weekend...at Teeside... These cars still have a couple of SLA parts on them like bumpers and batt trays.. Only one mould to finish.

Also, the body hasn't arrived.

Jimmy: I'll let you know when I'll be running it. Me and Teddy bear will get the cars at the same time...

shame on HB...

Get a car with at least SOME originality... its just a rebadged BJ4WE...

This is me shaking my head in embarrassment for HB

If its a BJ4WE you want, buy one.. They look better, they are original and the guys who make them are awesome and the after sales support AND tech support is the best..

do you camplain about many of the touring cars that are made? the xray looks similar to a HB cyclone which also looks similar to a 415MSX which looks similar to the new associated to come out which looks similar to the yokomo BD which happens to look similar to the Mi2 which looks similar to a corrally. what about the kyosho belt drive which is similar to the TA05???

is it bad that the BJ4 is a good car and that layout is good? just like there are minor differences with all those touring cars, there a minor differences with the D4, whether it be the colours, topdeck shape, diffs etc. it also looks as if the motor is placed a little further back.

i dont really know why all these people are complaining about it looking similar to the BJ4, whats so bad about it?
