Tamiya TRF511 Re-Build/Re-Store.

So the final part,

Shocks filled with Tamiya Yellow Soft oil... Actually they feel really good.

New Blue adjusters with New orings fitted, New white TRF Springs (RED) all round as these came in the kit. Caps fitted and vented. Ready for the TRF511 Now.....

Awaiting parts to turn up to complete the build. As soon as these turn up, I will post pictures......

Hi all,

Just an up-date.

The parts I'm waiting for from Tamiya Japan, should be with me over the weekend or early next week.

Once in my hands, I will be able to complete the TRF511.....

Inspiring thread.
I've been a Tamiya fanboy of the TRF511 since it first came out.

Since then, I've grown my collection to include:

• TRF501 (with all red alloy parts!)
• TRF511
• TRF503 (carbon chassis as well as alloy!)
• DB01 (plastic version of belt drive TRF511)
• DB02 (plastic version of shaft drive TRF502)
• ...and finally, just arrived the other week from Japan, a new in the box TRF502

AFAIK, that's the full list. I'll post pics after the weekend to let everyone have a drool.

The 503 is the only runner, but then, why wouldn't you have at least one of them running?
I kept a lot of spares for it, so it's going to be a few years before it's "halted"...
