Why you say tenth?

I'm sure there is a tenth scale being produced, but the main focus is the new 1/8th scale rallycross buggy. Hence the news story being on neo.

Just wondering what the, well, point of this is, a seperate 'department' to put their best people into is fine but, surely it will be kyosho not aka that are developing the cars, so are those 3 people pictured in the ads just going to be 'demoted' to making wheel nut drivers and fancy add ons, that were they in the original development would already be on the cars?

The word from people in the know is that AKA will have two functions within the Kyosho brand.

1) Hop-up parts and accessories for the Kyosho ranges, should be able to react more to what is happening in the world as a smaller team than part of the corperate animal (for which RC racing is only a part of what they do). This should keep the cars up to date and stop the, already, unfounded talk of Kyosho being behind in the development stakes.

2) New product development / RnD / concept generation from where it matters most .... the race track!

If you want a parallel think of it in the same way as Hot Bodies & EDIT relates to HPI and TRF relate to Tamiya.

Oh and by the way ... Kyosho already do a great range of nut spinners, and other tools .... but boy do they charge for them.

Whatever way you look at it, those three fellas have some serious history in RC .... most of it from the front of the field.

Option House would have been cool to see again but making a new brand will focus the attention so much more ..... hopefully bringing those poor misguided souls that haven't experienced the latest offerings from the big K' to enlightenment!!!

Fair enough, that makes a lot more sense, I do tend to kinda forget about the basher and hobby markets when i think of these companies. oh and generally kyosho really charge for whatever they're selling, when i was racing 8ths their kits were nearly double the price of everyone elses So it doesn't surprise me their tools are through the roof too

Cricky ... I remember Karl from way back. He's a top bloke and will surely help keep the finger on the pulse in the UK. Great news.
