Splattered paint effect?

What's the best way to achieve the splattered paint effect? ive wanted to try it for a while but to scared to ruin a body if i got it wrong?

Maybe better ways to do it but I simply sprayed the black paint into the can lid, dipped finger then flicked!

I do almost the same, spray paint in lid dip!
Do a couple of trial flicks before so you get the required pattern before you do it on the shell...

I just dip a small brush into the paint pot and smash it,if you want the splatter effect you can't really ruin the shell,but you can get carried away

Finger dipping flicking method on my DEX210 backed up with black. Had a go after reading this thread yesterday.
