Talking ZX-5 alaminium parts

Hi.
Does anybody know where i can find the red alaminium parts for my ZX-5.

the parts that i am interested in are:
- wishbone mounts
- shock tower mounts
- front hub carriers
- the shock cartridge caps
- spring height adjuster
and possibly more.

Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.
Jonny

Get in touch with paul (Cleveland models) as this where i got it from but beware that he will order it from usa and take about 2 week to deliver and it not cheap to get.

Have you check www.rc-direct.co.uk ?

Just to caution on the alluminium C hubs as they are only made up to 7 degree's and the car generally is better set up with the 10 degree hubs.

May I suggest that you get the SP conversion before buying any shiney bits ..... This really transforms the car, I have not had a single negative comment from anybody that has driven my car from a club driver to an F1.

The only wishbone mount you need is the LAW31 front-front arm holder. The car should have come with blue shock cap rings and top spring platforms in the box, may I ask why you want to change these?
If your going to change the shock cartridges then I'd suggest going for the tripple cap cartridges from the RB5 / ZX5-SP, part number W5184 .... this comes with all the seals, shock shafts .... everything you need to rebuild them.

The ali shock tower mount is not a bad choice but the current plastic parts are very strong anyway. I have put about 300 - 400 laps over mine without so much as a mark (although it didn't survive my good lady kicking it (by accident)...

No these parts don't make the car any faster, but they can make it more reliable from my own experience. And as for wanting to change the shock cartridge caps this was only to neaten it up so the colour wasn't mixed and matched. i think this will there fore make my car look better and also match my new shell. Also i am just about to order the km concepts conversion kit so hopefully it would make my car look the bis and hopefully help me to become more competetive.

I would advise that you try a KMC conversion before you buy, the weight distribution you'll end up with is exactly the reason I left the BJ4WE and clones to come to the Lazer in the first place ...... it really doesn't suit me at all. You may well be the same and it is an expensive mistake to make ... best try to nab a drive of somebody elses!!!

If you want some red bits, check out Kyoshos TF5 touring car. The centre shaft, shock tops, bottoms, spring tensioners and arm braces fit and they are all red anodized. I have the arm braces fitted to mine but I would recommend getting the LAW31 front brace as the TF5 brace isn't up to the job up front. I bent mine after two races! I would agree with the other posts though, there are more 'urgent' upgrades I would do before going red. Check out some of the feedback about the KM conversion before hitting the buy button aswell. Some love it but just as many aren't that impressed. Might save you some trouble in the long run if you do a bit of research first .

I again caution against the c hubs. The ally ones are soft and rather than break they bend which is more troublesome than you may think. Also the lack of a 10 degree block is an issue.

I own to zx5's and having back to back run them i preferred the KMC weight balance. I found it to fly flatter and that it had more traction.

Ok thanks for the advice. Ill just bye the conversion kit and the shock stay mounts. This will be much kinder to my pocket and will save me a lot of trouble on weight balance
